Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1974 - " Charles P. Henke, 83, Westphalia, died Sunday (May 26, 1974) at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born July 10, 1890 in Westphalia, the son of Henry and Mary Rademacher Henke. On Nov. 12, 1916, he was married to Katherine Wansing, who survives. Mr. Henke was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, the Westphalia Council No. 1171 and Knights of Columbus. Other survivors include two sons, Leo Henke and Charles P. Henke, Jr., both of Westphalia; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Loehner, Koeltztown; Mrs. Golda Kastrup, St. Louis; Mrs. Wilma Mengwasser, Jefferson City; and Miss Rose Henke of Westphalia, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. John Degnan officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery."
