Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1972: " Joseph Cramer, 70, of near Chamois, died Tuesday,, Nov. 7, at Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital in Columbia after several years of illness. He was 70 years, 2 months and 20 days of age. Mr. Cramer was born August 17, 1902, the son of Peter and Denie Whithouse Cramer in the Dodds community. He was educated at the Dodds School. Throughout his life, Mr. Cramer remained in that area. He was a farmer and also did custom threshing and sawing in lumber. He was married February 11, 1932 in Linn to Clara Benson of Gasconade, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and two daughters: Bill of Montgomery, Ala.; Kenneth of the home; Shirley (Mrs. Wayne Bracken) of Caseyville, Ill.; and Carol (Mrs. Bob Walling) of Star Route, Chamois. There are four grandchildren. Two brothers, Floyd and Victor, both of Morrison and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Ocheskey of Morrison and Hilda (Mrs. Elliott Reynolds) of Chamois. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Meyer Funeral Home of Chamois. Eugene McMahon, minister of the Oklahoma Church of Christ, Star Route, Chamois officiated."
