    3. Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1967: " Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 13, 1967 for Judge Paul B. Dessieux, one of Osage County's most respected citizens, who died at his home in Linn Sunday morning, June 11, 1967. Mr. Dessieux was born June 27, 1889, at Springfield, Missouri, son of Thomas J. and Virginia Vaughan Dessieux. On February 21, 1920, he was married to the former Miss Leora Ferguson of Linn. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mary Ruth, Mrs. Vernon Morton, Linn; Eula, Mrs. William R. Clark, and Virginia, Mrs. Earl David Scott, Jefferson City; one son, Paul Russell Dessieux, Potosi; one brother, Everett Dessieux, Jefferson City; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Moss, Springfield. One son, Clifford Dessieux preceded him in death in 1956. Judge Dessieux was educated in the grade and high schools of Linn. He was graduated from Park College, Parkville, Mo.; Lyons University, Lyons, France and Denver University Law School, Denver, Colorado. Mr. Dessieux was a lawyer and farmer. He served as Judge of the Probate Court of Osage County from 1928 to January 1, 1939. He was elected to the House of Representatives from Osage County in 1938 and served one term. He served one term in the New Mexico legislature in 1925. During World War I he spent 13 months overseas with the 138th F. H. , 35th Division. He was president of two insurance companies, the People's Mutual Insurance Association of Linn and the Oklahoma Life Insurance Company of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mr. Dessieux was active in all community and county affairs. He served several terms as mayor of Linn; he was president of the Linn School Board and haled make the Linn Technical Junior College a reality; he was active in service and veterans groups, a member of the Linn Lions Club, Eagle Barracks Post, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was appeals officer for the Selective Service in Osage County. He was a member of the St. John's Methodist Church in Linn, and was very active in all the affairs of the church, having served as president of the church board for several years. he was a member of all Masonic bodies, both York and Scottish rites, having served as Master of the Linn Masonic Lodge No. 326 A. P. & A. M."
