Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper - 1977: " Mrs. Delma E. Ellis of 1408 S. Cedar, Independence, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 3, (1977) at Research Medical Center. She was born in Osage County, Missouri on Jan. 6, 1930, the daughter of Jesse and Lena Busch Lambeth. Mrs. Ellis had been a bookkeeper for Northeast Honda for nine years. She was a member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church and a past president of the mount Calvary Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also a member of the Mount Washington Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: her husband, Austin Ellis of the home; two sons, Steven Ellis, Solana beach, Calif.; and William Ellis, Independence; a daughter, Miss Karen Ellis of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Violet Cochran, Warrensburg; and Mrs. Ruth McGrath, Independence and two granddaughters. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Ott and Mitchell Chapel with burial in the Mount Washington Cemetery. Mrs. Ellis had a number of relatives in the Osage County area."
