Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1976: " Young Loose Creek Man Died in Tractor Mishap" "Patrick Henry Boessen, 22, of Loose Creek, died Thursday afternoon near Bonnots Mill as the result of a tractor accident. According to the Osage County Coroner Clyde Morton, the young man and his father, John Boessen, were cultivating corn on the island north of Osage City. Pat was refueling the diesel engine following lunch, when it somehow went into gear, throwing him to the ground and moved over his body. An ambulance was summoned immediately on C. B. radio by an electric crew at work near the scene of the accident but the young man died instantly. His father was treated for shock at the hospital and released several hours later. The mishap occurred at approximately 1 p.m.. Adding to the tragedy of the even was the fact the Boessen was married only 12 days before to Miss Christy Saucier at the Taos Catholic Church. They had built a new home near Loose Creek. Mr. Boessen was born may 26, 1954 in Jefferson City, the son of John P. and Melba Davis Boessen. Both survive. He was married may 15, 1976 at Taos to Miss Christy Saucier, who survives of the home. Other survivors include; four brothers, Michael Boessen, Kenneth Boessen, John Boessen, Jr., and Christian Boessen, all of Loose Creek; and four sisters, Mrs. Linda Ricks, Macon; Miss Carolyn Boessen and Miss Kathleen Boessen, both of Jefferson City; and Miss Melody Boessen of Loose Creek. Mr. Boessen was a graduate of Immaculate Conception grade school in Loose Creek, a 1972 graduate of Fatima High School, Westphalia; and a graduate of Bailey Tech College, St. Louis. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of the Immaculate Conception Church, loose Creek, and a member of the Loose Creek Community Park Association. He was secretary of the Osage Baseball League and also managed the Loose Creek baseball team. He was past president of the Loose Creek CYO. Funeral services were held Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Loose Creek, where he was a member. The Rev. Kevin Gormley officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery."

Service were held Thursday at the Holy Family Catholic church in Freeburg, with Rev. Hugh Behan officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery."     3. Howard, I have so many more obits. - hundreds - which will take quite a while to retype.. As the weather gets nicer, I probably will ease up a bit.. But I just couldn't toss them out... Mr. Bogler was a lifelong member of the Most Pure Hear of Mary Catholic Church, Chamois. He was a veteran of World War !, a member of the American Legion Post at Chamois and the Knights of Columbus Council at Morrison. Obit. mid-Missouri newspaper - May 1926: " John Boessen, aged about 33 years, was killed by lightning Tuesday afternoon at about 4 o'clock on his farm on Brush Creek about three miles southwest of Loose Creek. Mr. Boessen and members of his family had been working in his garden when the rain coming up, they started for the house. He had a spade on his shoulder, but whether it had anything to do with attracting lightning or not is not determined, a bolt struck him and he crumbled up and died instantly. Mr. Boessen's sister-in-law, Miss Mary Bescheinen, was also severely shocked."

Mr. Kempker was born Jan. 21, 1905, at Mary's Home, the son of Henry and Sophie Lepper Kempker. On Nov. 10, 1925, he married Mary O. Goeller in Jefferson City. She survives. He was a member of the Holy Name sodality of St. Peter's Catholic church. He was a retired farmer. Mrs. Lepper was married on Sept. 26, 1927 at Mary's Home to George A. Lepper, who died on Jan. 12, 1949. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church and was employed at St. George Laundry in Jefferson City until her retirement in 1968. Survivors include: Two sons - Willard Lepper of Route 2, and Harold Lepper of Route 5; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Route 2; two brothers - Joe Kempker of Henley, and Bennie Kempker of Route 2,: two sisters: Mrs. Addie Templeton of the home and Mrs. Tillie Goetz of Route 2, and four grandchildren.     3. Obituary from DIGITAL MISSOURIAN, week of October 5, 1998: "Cletus M. Wulff of Columbia, enjoyed the simple things in life. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and football. As he grew older, he was the commander of his local VFW post. Mr. Wulff died Saturday, October 3, 1998 at Boone Hospital Center. He was 70. "He was a good man," his wife, Erma, said. "He never gave me a cross word." Mr. Wulff was born Dec. 22, 1927 in Argyle to Joseph and Gertrude Brunnert Wulff. He married Erma Dickneite on Oct. 13, 1962, in Columbia. Mr. Wulff was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict, and he was a painter for Wulff Bros. Construction County until his retirement in 1991. Visitation for Mr. Wulff will be from 6 to 8 PM today at Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 903 Bernadette Drive. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Wulff is survived by his wife, Erma Wulff of Columbia; three daughters, Barbara Cook of Columbia, Mary Clark of Marshall and Sherry Wulff of Las Vegas; two brothers, Bernard Wulff of Columbia and Joseph Wulff of Florissant; two sisters, Olive Riodan of Eureka and Alma Landry of Mesa, AZ; and six grandchildren. She had been in failing health for the last year. Mrs. Bishop was born June 6, 1921 at St. Aubert, the daughter of Castin and Mollie McKinney Thompson. On July 3, 1954, she was married at California to Cecil E. Bishop, who survives at the home. She had lived in Jefferson City most of her life, and was employed at International Shoe Co. for 16 years, until her retirement in 1969. She had attended the Cedar City Baptist Church. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Betty Stoll, Jefferson City; one son, Randall Bishop of the home; one brother, Chester Thompson, Linn; one sister, Mrs. Leta DeBruyn, Portland, Oregon, and two granddaughters.
