She was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church at Chamois before moving to Webster Groves 15 years ago. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church there. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Janet Hill, Webster Groves; and Mrs.. Betty Rogers, Shrewsbury; two brothers, Louis Langendoerfer and Lawrence Langendoerfer, both of Washington; and three grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois with Rev. Patrick J. McMyler officiating. burial was in the parish cemetery."

He was born June 21, 1903, near Belle, the son of James Robert and Dora Reed Daggett. Mr. Daggett lived most of his life in Maries County except eight years when he lived in Marion County, Arkansas. Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Rowden, Meta; and Mrs. Ruby Treece, Leasburg. Services were held Sunday in the Little Flock Baptist Church near Vienna, with Rev. Harold Withers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home."

Mrs. Dudenhoeffer was born Aug. 22, 1902, at Loose Creek, the daughter of Jules and Wilhelmina Hasenbac (sp?) Bonnot. She was married Sept. 30, 1924, to Michael Dudenhoeffer, who survives. Mrs. Dudenhoeffer was a member of the St. Brendan Catholic Church, Mexico, and of the Married ladies Sodality. Other survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Edward Massen, Mexico; three brothers, Ray Bonnot and Leo Bonnot, both of Jefferson City; and Herbert Bonnot, Fresno, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Meamber and Mrs. Alvin Eynard, both of Bonnots Mill, and Mrs. Dorothy Perrguey, Jefferson City; two half-sisters, Miss Annie Bonnot, Kansas City, and Mrs. William Kock, St. Charles and four grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, at the St. Brendan Catholic Church, Mexico, with the Rev. Gerald Stockman officiating. Burial was in Mexico. He was married to Ida Schneider, who died May 12, 1940. Mr. Dresel was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic church, Freeburg, and the married men's sodality of that church. He was a World War I Army veteran. Survivors include on son, Bill Dresel, Freeburg; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Miller, Alton, Ill; and Mrs. Stella Brewer, Freeburg; one brother, Henry Dresel, Rich Fountain, and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic church, Freeburg, with the Rev. Jos. Lawlor officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery."

He was married Sept. 30, 1924 to Frances M. Bonnot, who died in 1966. Survivors include; one daughter, Mrs. LaVerne Maafen of Mexico; three brothers, Charles and Edwin Dudenhoeffer, both of Jefferson City; and Jake Dudenhoeffer, Normandy; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Kliethermes, Bonnots Mill; Mrs. Wilburn Heidbreder and Mrs. Clarence Knadal, both of Jefferson City. Services were held Monday at St. Brendan's Catholic Church at Mexico with Rev. Brenden Griffey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Preceding him in death were his wife on Nov. 29, 1966, five brothers and one sister."

She had made her home at the manor several years. She was born June 12, 1907 to Joseph Allan Edwards and Bess Conn Edwards. She was married to Ben Dresel on Feb. 22, 1927 at Rich Fountain. He preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons and three daughters, George Dresel, Mrs. Loretta Douglas and Mrs. Jeanette Rock, of Oklahoma City; Kenneth Dresel and Mrs. Margarete Rock, Denver, Colo.; Bernard Dresel, Lawton, Okla; and Gene Dresel of Kansas City, Mo.. There are 29 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and sister, Rudy Edwards of Linn and Mrs. Nell Smith, Kansas City. Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, April 13, 1977 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rich Fountain, with Rev. Robert Arnold officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery with Morton Service in charge.

Ashley St., Jefferson City; one daughter, Mrs. William (Evelyn) Heckerman, 2620 Idlewood Drive; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Roling, 303 E. Ashley Street, and 5 grandchildren. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City."
Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1971: Mrs. F. W. Day Passes Away "Usefulness to her townspeople, through her love of staying busy, was the virtue extolled by Rev. A. J. Grellner in Chamois January 9 (1971) at the funeral service of Mrs. F. W. Day. Mrs. Day died of a heart condition on January 6 (1971) in St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City only four days after being admitted. Born Mary Louise Day, April 13, 1887 in Frankenstein, Mo., she was the daughter of Louis and Anna Ley. She came to Chamois in 1903 and established a lifelong residence in the town along the Missouri River. She was married in 1907 to F. W. "Sandy" Day, who preceded her in death in 1963. Two children, Fred G. Day and Mrs. Margaret David, also preceded her in death in 1939 and 1962. Mrs. Day leaves two sons, William E. Day, District 8 Maintenance Engineer of the Missouri State Highway Department at Springfield, and R. P. Day, Industrial Editor of La Canada, California, their families and a host of neighbors and friends. Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. Grellner in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic church in chamois, where she and Mr. Day were married and she where she had been a lifelong member. Interment was in Chamois Cemetery."
Obit., "In the U.D. 50 Years Ago " column: (1924): "Miss Pearl Davies, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davies of Texas, and granddaughter of the late Jesse Miller of Pointers Creek, died at her home in Quilan, Texas, January 20 (1924). Miss Davies some years ago visited her uncles, W. L. Davies and J. O. Miller and families and other relatives in this part of the state and is well remembered by a number of our people all of whom will regret to learn of her death. Deceased leaves beside her parents, one sister, mrs. Jewel Haines, and a brother, Mr. Sebe Davies, and to them go out the sympathy of our entire citizenship in their sad bereavement."
Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1935: "Mrs. Maggie Ann Davis was born at Damsel, Camden County, Mo. on May 16, 1901, the daughter of Henry Lee and Coralla Ray. She was first married on May 16, 1920, to James David. After her husband's death she was married for the second time to William Davis and to them three children were born. Her dying words were an old expression of confidence that heaven was her home and that she was conscious of her acceptance as God's child. After an illness of several months, she passed away at her home near Hope on may 6, 1935 at the age of 33 years, 11 months and 20 days. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters and one son, Leonard, all at home and by her mother and father. Funeral services were conducted in the presence of many friends at the Oklahoma Church at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning."
Obit., mid-Missouri newspaper, 1976 - "Mrs. Mabel Frances Carrel, wife of the later Joseph Carrel and daughter of the late Charles and Dora Pack Day, was born on May 15, 1902, and departed this life Friday morning, Dec. 16, 1976 at the Tipton Manor Home, Tipton, reaching the age or 74 years, 7 months and 1 day. Mrs. Carrel lived her entire life in the Chamois community. On Nov. 24, 1935, she was married to Joseph Carrel. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1971. Mrs. Carrel is survived by one brother, Paul (Jim) Day of Independence; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. One sister, Alma Boillot; and two brothers, Carl and Ralph Day, preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Meyer Funeral Home in Chamois with interment in the Oakland Cemetery at Chamois. The Rev. Charles Miller officiated."
