My mom was raised in Wilderness, so I spent time with my grandparents down there in the summers. They are gone now, but the farm house is still down there and I've gotten to visit a couple of times in the last year - a true joy since I moved to Ohio 14 years ago. After I visited last October I came home with a renewed drive to get my SIMPSON family information organized and online. I had been sharing this site with the SIMPSON mailing list and family members, but I hadn't joined the Oregon County mailing list until now. My focus is specifically Oregon County Simpsons, and the related families - which is almost everyone since with so many SIMPSONs, someone had to marry one somewhere down the line. Anyhow, here is the site and if you are researching SIMPSONs or related families, I'd love to hear from you: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~woodside/simpson.htm The pictures, obituaries, and some of the family group sheets have been tremendously impacted by people like you that have sent me information. I've gotten some great pictures too. Denise Woodside Researching SIMPSON and MULLIS in Oregon County and WALTERS, SNIDER, RADER, and PERKINS in neighboring counties.
