Surnames: Wolf Wolfe Hammon Prather Hill Duboise Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CMB.2ACE/616 Message Board Post: Hello All...I could really use some help with some family info..my Wolf / Wolfe Hammon surnames....I locted my gr gr grandparents on the 1880 fed census living with the 1st of their 4 children S.H Wolf b. 1858/9 MS and Amanda son Edgar James Wolf a niece and nephew both Hill children. I have traced the Hill line back to 1850 in AL...but to date I have been unable to locate anything on S. H Wolf..a death cert for my gr grandfather John Arthur Wolf listed his fathers name as Simeon Wolfe...I'm also having problems with my gr grandmothers Hammon line. I was using several sources as the bases for data that seem pretty solid and now I'm begining to question them. I loctaed the Hammon family on the 1900 census oregon county. head of household L.H ? L.M? or maybe L.W Hammon b. abt 1854 KY wife Ida Bell and 5 of theri living children in the home...my line is thru Ola Hammon...I have seen Ida Bell connected to a Prather line with tons of info but nothing such as a census with her lis! ted on it. Also the only Hammon I can find in MO is a around 1880 is a Wood Hammon born KY around the right age but wrong wife? There has been many stories as to the Native American Blood having come from the S.H Wolf side or possibly the Hammon side...any help would be greatly appreciated
