My mother was born and raised in Alton, and she and her parents sang in many churches throughout the area. What are some of the names you are searching for that was affliated with the church? [The History Book mentions the Baptist, Freewill Bapt, & Methodist Churches.] I know that not too far from Thayer, they had a Pentacostal Church at 'the Y" [don't think its no longer there], and they had many many Pentacostal Tent Revivals in the area..... There is a Nebo Pentacostal Church outside of Alton in the Piney Community....it's still in existance... Give me some names, and she might be able to help you. Lanita
