Hi, The one-room FAIRVIEW SCHOOL was located just east of Myrtle. I know that the school was in use in 1902. I am interested in determining the span of years when the school served the families living east of Myrtle. If you know of a date when the school was "in session" before or after 1902, please post the date. Working together, perhaps we can approximate the date when students first began attending school at FAIRVIEW, and the date when the last class attended FAIRVIEW. This should provide all of us with families who lived in that area a little more information about where the children attended school. While we're discussing schools in the Myrtle area, does anyone on the list know anything about schools that might have served the area east of Myrtle before Fairview School was built, or after use of Fairview School was discontinued?
