According to an article in the Oregon County Times (1904), Granny Blue was born Matilda Evans, August 1, 1813, in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was married to three Williams - Ragan, Allen, Blue. She was married c. 1829 to Wm Ragan, a neighbor and moved to Arkansas (Mammoth Spring) in early 1830. An excellent article. Barbara Rainey
