Marriage books for the years 1845-1890, and there is only one John JONES who mar. in those years. He mar. in 1857. You might check Randolph Co., AR. People crossed over all the time. AR didn't have a waiting period for licenses. You might also try the area mailing list called the Oregon County HISTORY mailing list.
