This time, however, William's name is listed as William T. Gunderson, step-son of August. The census record states August and Miranda have been married for 12 years and that she has been married a total of three times. She would have married August Halpin when William was four years old. William T. Gunderson did register for WWI in 1917 and was listed as single. His birth date was 9/29/1893 and he died, according to social security records, on 12/27/1978 in Santa Clara county, CA. In the 1930 census he was listed as an inmate in the Camp Fremont and United States Public Health Service Hospital #24 in San Mateo. Still haven't found Charles--sorry!
