February 24, 1832 in Wayne County, Illinois, d. April 15, 1910 in Oregon County, Missouri In Charley's death certificate, Mary Milsap was the informant giving the vital information. There was only 1 Lock family in Wayne County Illinois in the 1830's , all descendants of James Lock and his 2 sons Richard H. Lock and Samuel Teter Lock. In the 1840 Wayne County Illinois census, it states Richard H. Lock had 4 sons in the house hold, and I can only account for 2 of the 4 sons names, John Thomas Lock and James B. Lock. Could Charley Lock be one of the unknown sons of Richard H. Lock? Seems likely! This is only if Mary Milsap reported his birth place correctly, but if she was correct in stating he was born in Wayne County Illinois, then I believe this to be a very high chance Charley Lock is the son of Richard H. Lock. And Charley Lock living in Missouri only makes since because there were quite a lot of Lock cousins living all over Missouri. Richard Lock III, uncle of Richard H. Lock moved from Wayne County Illinois to Barry County Missouri early 1800's and spread out from there. Any help on Charley "Charles?" Lock would be appreciated. Thanks Donald Locke
