I just found a death certificate for Charley Lock and if the information that was reported on it is correct, he would almost have to be a part of my Lock(e) line. Charley Lock b. February 24, 1832 in Wayne County, Illinois, d. April 15, 1910 in Oregon County, Missouri Death certificate states, Parents unknown. Mary Milsap was the informant for the vital information for the death certificate. I have no clue who she is or if she is related to Charley Lock. Is she a possible daughter of Charley? I think I know who his parents were! There was only 1 Lock family in Wayne County, Illinios in the 1830's, all descendants of James Lock. James Lock had 2 known sons, Richard H. Lock and Samuel Teter Lock. In the 1840 Wayne County, Illinois census it states Richard H. Lock had 4 sons at home, but I can only account for 2 of the 4 son's names, John Thomas Lock and James B. Lock. I believe Charley Lock to be 1 of the unknown sons of Richard H. Lock! If Charley Lock is who I think he is, he wasn't alone in Missouri, he had many Lock cousins all over Missouri. Anyone know anything about Charley "Charles?" Lock? I only learned about Charley last night, so my search has just started :) Thanks!
