    3. Bonnie, I have attached two pictures. One of them is the picture of the lady with her Sunday School class and the other is what I think are three of the children in the class picture sometime later. Tell me what you think. If the pictures don't come in well enough then I can make them scan clearer, but it will take longer to download. 3. I live in Thayer, MO and the new Assembly of God Church is located on US Hwy. 63 South . There are several penticostal churches in the area. Shiloh Church, Midway Pentecostal Church, Church of God that I can think of right off hand. The person you are referring to never pastored the Assembly of God Church here in Thayer, as I checked.. The old rock building which housed the Assembly of God Church was sold when the new church was built. There is a music theater in the building at present. What everyone here calls the old rock church (which I think you are referring to) is a small building on the old highway 63, which is also Hwy 142 is used by different ministers, and recently one perticular minister has been holding services there and they are penticostal. The church does not have a name as yet because it is a newly established one. Hope this tid-bit helps. I believe that the building is still standing. Maybe still having church, who knows? It was a rock building, single room and not too large. It is located, I think, on old 63, going north the outskirts of Thayer. It's been several years since we went into Thayer on that road. I think that there is a relativety "new"building for the Assembly of God and if I'm not mistaken --it is located somewhere up above the funeral homes" > > >Hope this gives you some leads. >Lanita > > > >==== MOOREGON Mailing List ==== >To unsubscribe from this list, send ONLY the word UNSUBSCRIBE to the utility address [email protected] If you are trying to unsubscribe from the Digest list, use the same utility address but change the -L- to a -D- > > >

Some of their daughters were there, I think.  I remember hearing the girls sing." Now, I was under the impression that John and Cora LEWIS [my mom's uncle and aunt] were ASSEMBLY OF GOD ministers. So, maybe they use the term "Pentacostal" as being a generic description rather than an denomination, this time. I have asked Mom if the church was IN Thayer and what the name of it was... will get back to you when she answers. Hope this helps, Lanita
