Can anyone help me with the location of Oak Ridge Cemetery in Oregon County, MO. in May of 1908? Also could someone tell me what church Rev. D.E. Dowless ministered to in 1908? Little Minnie Frances Riley was b. Aug 2, 1905 and died May 15, 1908. Daughter of John and Julia Riley of Oregon County, MO. She was buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery and the services were preformed by Rev. D.E. Dowless at the Cemetery. Was there a Church there or would it have been a graveside service? Does this cemetery still exist? Her grave marker is at the Koshkonong Cemetery, but I wonder if she's really buried there. Pat Miller Dallas, TX.

Martha Ellen Roy was the daughter of George W. Roy and Sarah C. Barger Roy. George W. Roy was the oldest son of John Roy and Martha Ann Goswick Roy. I am not sure of John's father. On the 1870 Jobe Township, Oregon Co., MO census Hicks Roy lived next door to my Roy family. I don't know if there is a relationship between these two Roy families but it would seem likely that they are related. George W. and Sarah C. Roy were married by then and living in the same neighborhood. I will be happy to share my Roy info with any Roy researcher.

I am interested in the House line. Michael House and his wife Telitha Shipp were the parents of 4 sons Mike {Michael Jr.), John, Marion, William and a daughter Eliza Ann. My great Aunt, Martilla Houser married Mike House Jr., her brother, Charlie Houser married Eliza Ann House. Francis Marion House was my great grandmother, Rhoda Turner Houser House. Hi listers, I have come across some photos of "Grandma Otten". We are not sure who she is or what relation she is, if any, to our family. All I know is that the pictures were taken of her and my grandfather's sisters in West Plains, MO around 1946. I don't think she lived near us because we remember she "came in for the wedding" at this time. She was in her 60s in the pictures. We also have a ton of photos that she sent to us of herself and her husband and sister quite often. Noted on the photos was "My house on Laverne Street". I need help identifying her picture. We think it might be a family that took my great-grandmother in when her Mother died and her father couldn't afford to take care of her. My ggrandmother's name was Nova Peters, born in West Plains, MO. If this is the case, then the Otten family stayed around for a long time, long enough to see Nova's kids grow up in the 30s-40s. To note, we don't have any pictures of her with Nova, only with Nova's kids. I hope to have the pictures posted to a website soon, but I'm currently away from home and on dial up :-| In the meantime if you think you may know this family, please email me and I will send pictures of them.
