    3. Births are on the same page where you find the Death Certificate link. It is not so comprehensive as the Death certificates though. http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/ordb.asp Pat, [email protected] wrote: >Hello, >Does anyone have the link to births of Missouri?? > >Thanks >Tanya > > >==== MOOREGON Mailing List ==== >NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. I believe that Miles is a brother to Josiah. Josiah was born March 24 1824 he Married Elizabeth Ward Sept 20 1846 in Weakley Co Tn. Josiah is then found in the census of Missouri. Along with other family members. does anyone have any info on this family? Thank You Betty

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CMB.2ACE/625.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I went to the marriage records and that's where your Nancy was listed as being married to a JAMES.. makes sense that it would be James Monroe.. but I don't have other proof since I am not researching the family. I know by experience that they named after Presidents and famous people all the time. "James Madison", "Thomas Jefferson" "Christopher Columbus", "George Washington", "James Monroe", "Sterling Price", "Francis Marion", and many many others. In your case, Nancy married a "JAMES" McKINNEY/McKENNEY on 8 Jan 1862 [listed in book A, pg 45, of the Oregon Co. Marriage Books]. Since you said his name was MONROE, and the marriage listing has him as JAMES, looks like MONROE is a middle name, or vice versa. Since the famous person is James Monroe, I would speculate that James Monroe McKINNEY was his full name. Lanita
