Author: PP9393 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.oregon/1235.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Information that might confirm "Garrett" as Lydia's last name is a Civil War Pension card on ancestry.com that lists "Lydia A Heiskell" as a minor heir of Robert Garrett. I believe the card is date 1892 which would probably indicate Robert's death. Since his wife is not listed as collecting his pension, I would assume she predeceased him. 3. According to the "Cemeteries of Oregon Co., MO.", her maiden name was Garrett. They are both buried in the Smith Cemetery. BTW, the 1900 census shows him born in VA. In the 1880 census there is a Lyda Garriet (niece) living with a David Flanery in Jobe Twsp., Oregon Co. The birth date matches. Wade's family is also listed in the Oregon Co. census for 1920 and 1930. Hope this helps. Any of the Kyle will be important, as well as the Shurron ( a unique name to that area). Roach? I'm not sure if all of them or none of them are mine; just started with them. Bearden would all be mine, but I have a lot of them too. James Shurron and his wife are buried at Koshkonong, so if that is the two, I don't need them. Just give me the Kyle. Julia Ann Roach Bearden Kyle was my gggrandmother. She was born in Illinois, married James Bearden there and I am told he also died there. She brought her children to Oregon Co., and married Kyle there. Maybe we should start a new subject line for this information. Pat,
