I search his nale as well on MSN and found a link to Brown County History, which stated that he married a daughter of David and Sarah Espy. So, now I know where the Esp(e)y caome from! I am not sure if J.E.D. is my GG Grandfather or if he is William's uncle. Also saw a listing on the site you gave the had him listed as the Editor of a Democratic publication called 'Monitor'.
