Hi, I'm trying to do searches in Ancestry databases for the surname HARRIS in Montgomery county around 1800. I thought that the county was formed in 1803, but when I look in marriage records and the 1800 census, I don't get the option of selecting Montgomery county. I'm specifically looking for the Dayton area and I have found Harris references in later census records in Washington Twp and Dayton Wards 1, 2, 3, & 5. What county should I use for Dayton for 1800?
