He is survived by his wife Gretchen (Gibney) of Hagerstown, Maryland, his daughters Liberty and Nadia, and his father Dr. Paul Germann of Columbia, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother Dianne (Nichols) Germann of Presque Isle, Maine. Ken was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 14, 1971. He later moved to Maine and graduated from Madawaska High School in 1989. He received a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy on June 2, 1993 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He later earned Masters and Doctorate degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University and also completed Air Force Test Pilot School as a Flight Test Engineer. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, at Marshall Rd. Church of God, 4400 Marshall Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kenneth P. Germann Memorial Fund, c/o Fifth Third Bank, 2100 E.
