Hughes, 54, of Kettering, died Thursday, July 5, 2007. He was born December 19, 1952 in Kettering. He served his country during the Vietnam Era with the United States Army and was employed by the Veterans Administration of Dayton. He was an avid outdoors man and active member of the YMCA where enjoyed working out and playing racquet ball for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Liddy (Bertrams) Hughes; three children, Scott, Bridget, and Brandon; his mother, Mary Hughes; three brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hughes; one nephew, Brett Hobbs. Services were held Monday, July 9 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek. Burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
