They had a son also, Edward. (He later changed his last name to Closson) My mom never knew her father. He died just before she was born. April 15, 1934. I would love to find out about this side of the family. My Mom passed away this past March 7, 2008. She was 73 years old. She was married to John Samuel Young. They had 2 daughters, Debra Marie (Debby) and Donna Lynn. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have several marriage records from the late 1800s and early 1900s that only list the couple's names, the date and the judge's name. These are licenses, I guess, rather than certificates. Are there certificates or any other records that would give more information (like parents' names, witnesses, etc) for Dayton in that timeframe? I have a marriage affidavit from 1904 that lists parents, birthplace, residence, and spouse's name if previously married. Do these exist for the earlier marriages? Thanks. Sheri Prager California
