    3. In the 1888-1889 directory, there's a listing for Mrs. Tubba Tahl, widow of Joseph. To me that means that Joseph was a resident of Dayton before his death, otherwise no one would know him so why mention him? But I can't find any other signs that Joseph lived there. Is it a safe assumption, though, that since he's named, that he DID live in Dayton and I should continue looking? Thanks! Sheri Prager California

    3. They listed things like that back then. Women tended to think they had to show a tie to a spouse. You could check the property records, assuming it was not a rental. -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_co_oh-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:montgomery_co_oh-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Sheri Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2008 3:09 AM To: MONTGOMERY_CO_OH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MONTGOMERY_CO_OH] city directory listings In the 1888-1889 directory, there's a listing for Mrs. Tubba Tahl, widow of Joseph.
