She had resided in the Dayton area since 1942. Garnet was the daughter of Floyd and Hazel Pearl Brown Burley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Burley. Garnet is survived by her husband of 59 years, William A. "Bill" McKenzie; her children, Deborah L. (Rocky) Howard, Brian (Carol) McKenzie; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel.
