Dena was a native of Mississippi, but moved to Dayton 20 years ago to be closer to her son and granddaughters. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Vandalia. Dena was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, and three brothers. Survivors include a son, Mike Kersh of Kettering, and a daughter, Nell Kersh of Centerville; two granddaughters; and many other relatives. A celebration of Dena's life was held Saturday, Feb. 16, at the First Baptist Church, Vandalia. Interment at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Vandalia - Dena Kersh Fund, Hospice of Dayton, Englewood Manor Nursing Home, the American Heart Association or to the charity of your choice. from the February 20 issue of the K-O Times Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
