"Peachy" Schlangen, 65, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marjorie Hatfield and sister, Mary Lou Hatfield. Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard H. Schlangen; son, Terry R. (Betty J.) Schlangen; three grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Shirley and Sharon Hatfield; and many other relatives. Linda was a lifelong resident of Dayton. She was a retired school bus driver for the Kettering City School District. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11:30 a.m. at the Meyer-Boehmer & Reis Funeral Home, 1733 Brown St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
