Martin, 63, of Troy, died Thursday January 31, 2008. He was born November 21, 1944 in Dayton, the son of the late Lester, Sr. & Lena (Shope) Martin. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, a member of the V.F.W. Post 9684 and American Legion Post 586, Tipp City. He was employed at DAP Inc., Tipp City. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Laura; his children, Mary Ingles of Kettering, Edward (Amanda) Martin of Piqua, Peggy (John) Cottrell of New Carlisle; five grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Cindy) Martin of Jacksonville, NC, George F. (Kathy) Martin of Galax, Va., Ron (Julie) Martin of Medway, Douglas Martin, Lester, Jr. (Rena) Martin all of New Carlisle; sisters, Diana Hays of Springfield, and Kay Keeney of Greenville, Tenn.; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle.
