Marjorie was an active member of the First Lutheran Church and a member of Harvest Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ona Berner and husband, Thomas W. Downie. Marjorie is survived by her son, Thomas C. (Patty) Downie of Kettering; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Brown of Kettering; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 28, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial at David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229 or to the First Lutheran Church, 138 W.
