A message just came in about the Ohio State Gazetteer 1860-61, now being digitally reproduced on CD and an introductory price of $49.95. I just wanted to make mention before people pay the $50.00 for this that the book is available as e-text FREE OF CHARGE on the University of Michigan's Making of America site, at http://tinyurl.com/5e4dxq that is a direct link to the search function for the Gazetteer. The entire book is online there, and is entirely searchable by key words. Dunno, about everyone else, but the hobby's expensive enough without having to pay to view things on the computer that we can view for free on the same box. :-) Also, just to let everyone know, don't forget when doing research to check Google Books, another free source. http://books.google.com/advanced_book_search The link I provided will take you to an advanced search where you can search by keyword, and even limit it to between this year and this year, or whatever year you want. You can also search by author, title, etc. A great source for doing historic research, or genealogy! New books are always being added to these sites, so you might want to check back often. Just thought I'd help some folks save a little money. :-) Linda Trent lindatrent@zoomnet.net
