Well I found where he was buried. On the death certificate (which is very hard to read the cemetery name) was the initials of V or U then S. and a scribble. I thought well, maybe he was buried at the Veteran (National) Cemetery on West Third St. In Dayton, I searched their database and found it!! Boyd, John J, d. 04/16/1943, Plot: S 2 18, bur. 05/11/1943 One thing I noticed was that he was buried almost one month after he died. Now I know he was also in the service.
