I have puzzled out part of my mystery. Two of Peter Eck"s sons married two daughters of Jacob Shover. In the 1860 census for Jackson Township, Montgomery County, Jacob Shover is living with his daughter Susannah and her husband Isaiah Eck's family. His other daughter is Mary Shover married to Isaiah's brother Jacob Eck. According to the census Jacob Shover was born in Penn.about 1783. From rootsweb it looks like Jacob Shover was married to Catharine Overholser also of Penn. and that they also had a son Sebastion Shover. Hopefully, I can build on this new information.
