Myers & Phebe Ann Codington (2) A copy of the Divorce Records for John J & Phebe Myers (3) A copy of the Probate of Peter Codington This past weekend I received the Marriage Affidavit... Thanks for the lead! It didn't have any new information other than he was older than 21, and she was older than 18. I also received their Divorce Records. He had left for "parts unknown" on Aug. 10, 1867, and she was granted a divorce on Jan. 13, 1868, along with custody of their boy, and her maiden name restored "Phebe Coddington". In the 1870 census, though, she was still using the name "Myers". I have not received the Probate of Peter Codington yet. In the divorce papers, Phebe had to post in the Dayton Journal newspaper the fact that she was seeking a divorce to inform her husband. (see attachment). It's nearly impossible to read and I was wondering, if you happen to be at the library, if you could obtain a better copy? Thanks. I'll let you know when the Probate of Peter Codington comes. Thanks again for you help, David M. Myers Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
