David Clutch, Who Died at Home in Alcony, Widely Known in Dayton DECEDENT QUIT WORK AFTER 20 YEARS LABOR Burial Will Be Made at New Carlisle After Services This Afternoon. TROY, O., Sept. 28 -- Funeral services for Rev. David Clutch, 77, retired Methodist minister, who died Saturday at his home in Alcony, eight miles east of Troy, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Reformed church at Alcony. Several years ago Rev. Clutch retired from the ministry after serving the church for more than 20 years. He was born July 16, 1847, at Centerville, O. He had lived at Alcony for 50 years. Rev. Clutch had a host of friends in Troy and in Dayton. He married Mary French at Addison, O., February 17, 1870. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Guy N. Clutch of Watertown, N.Y., and Arthur Ward Clutch, of Columbus; a brother, Bloomfield Clutch, and a sister, Mrs. Minerva Burns, both of Dayton.
