    1. [MONTGOMERY_CO_OH] CATHARINE DEUBNER,
    2. I hope that someone can help nme with a brick wall in my research. Catharine DEUBNER died in Dayton on 31 October 1894 and is buried with her husband, John C. in Woodland Cemetery. My brickwall is her maiden name. Was she Catharine ZERBE or Catharine RAPP before marrying John C. Deubner. Catharine DEUBNER was born in PA 25 Dec. 1818. In Montgomery Co. Marriages 1803-1851: DEUBNER, John C. to Catherine RAPP - June 15, 1849. I have been unable to find anything on the RAPP family. Their first child, John Jacob DEUBNER was born in Dayton on 29 July 1850. John C. was a blacksmith. His blacksmith shop was located at e.s. Brandt north of Brandt and Valley junction. Residence adjoined shop (documented in 1880-1881 Dayton City directory) I must admit that I have been researching my families since 1993 and cannot find the notes re Catharine's maiden name as ZERBE. It may have been through Ancestry or Family Search but I haven't found any actual record to confirm or deny it. MY QUESTION: Where would I search to determine the actual maiden name of Catharine DEUBNER? Thanks, Barbara Wegley Anderson **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. 3. Hi Montgomery Co Listers, I have a similar "brick wall" and I hope if anyone plans to search the Montgomery Co, OH Marriage Records of 1803-1851 wouldn't mind also looking for a George Kester (spelling variations: Keaster, Keester, Keister, Kister, Kiester, Koster, Kaster, Koester, Kuester, Caster, Castor, etc). It would be George's 2nd marriage and would have taken place between 1820 and 1822. I prefer not giving the given name of the bride as it is too limiting of a search. I will say that both bride and groom were 44 years of age in 1821. According to the 1820 Census of German Twp, Montgomery Co, OH George was a resident with children but no female of his age group was listed in his household. On the 1830 Census a female of his age group was listed. And in addition to his unmarried children still living at home there was an additional two males, one in the 5-10 age group and one in the 0-5 age group. In the 5-10 age group we believe it to be their son Daniel Kester (my spouse's gg-grandfather) who was born April 14, 1822 in Montgomery Co, OH but so far we have been unsuccessful in locating a birth or death certificate for him so we can prove his parentage. Any helps or leads would be greatly appreciated!! Jo Kester I hope that someone can help me with a brick wall in my research.
