Myers & Phebe Ann Codington (2) A copy of the Divorce Records for John J & Phebe Myers (3) A copy of the Probate of Peter Codington This past weekend I received the Marriage Affidavit... Thanks for the lead! It didn't have any new information other than he was older than 21, and she was older than 18. I also received their Divorce Records. He had left for "parts unknown" on Aug. 10, 1867, and she was granted a divorce on Jan. 13, 1868, along with custody of their boy, and her maiden name restored "Phebe Coddington". In the 1870 census, though, she was still using the name "Myers". I have not received the Probate of Peter Codington yet. In the divorce papers, Phebe had to post in the Dayton Journal newspaper the fact that she was seeking a divorce to inform her husband. (see attachment). It's nearly impossible to read and I was wondering, if you happen to be at the library, if you could obtain a better copy? Thanks. I'll let you know when the Probate of Peter Codington comes. Thanks again for you help, David M. Myers Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am looking for some help on my Dillon/Robinson family. Sadie Mae Arbogast was born in 1889 in Tuscarawas county, Ohio. SHe first married Franklin T. Dillon... They had 3 children: Judge W. Dillon (born around 1913), Evelyn Dillon (born 1919), and Francis D. Dillon born 25 Nov 1920. On 6 Feb 1929, Sarah remarried O. Beard (or Beers) Robinson. I am not sure if Frank died or they divorced. In the 1920 census, they are living in Jackson, Coshocton County. In the 1930 census, Sarah and new hubby are living in Dayton, Montgomery County. Evelyn is not living with them, just the two boys (ages 18 and 9 at this time). I found that Francis died 23 Dec 1983 in Dayton. I am looking for any information on Beard/Beers Robinson and Sarah, along with Judge and Evelyn. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Around 30 - 35 years ago I lived in Miamisburg in a new housing development. Behind it was a cemetery that was destroyed and people were walking off with headstones. I assume now it is homes. I'd have to get an old city directory to remember the street I lived on, but right behind it was the cemetery. I do know that if you were heading down 725 from Dayton Mall towards Msbg, you passed the shopping center on the left and then turned left at the light just at the end of the shopping center. Then you would go down a ways to where the street ended (think that street is Maue) - then turn right, and then a left turn, then going for a few blocks. The street I was on would have been a right turn off of that road and the cemetery was behind that home. ..... I was mortified with the destruction of it. This is a reply to old posts I've finally got to, but it is place specific so I've cut the original post and changed the subject title. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG. David, If you can tell me what cemetery in Centerville your Phebe Myers is buried in, I can get there to check for the grave. There are several cemeteries in Centerville, and I've walked a couple of them several times for other people.
