ELLIS, son of THOMAS ELLIS and HANNAH EVANS. Leander married 1st to HARRIET HUMBER in Kentucky in 1819. They migrated to Buchannan Co. about 1843 with their 13 children, one set of twins of which one twin was my great grandfather. The children were : Thomas C. Wallace Dittemore Elizabeth J. Ellis m: Martin Henderson Hannah L. m: John Grant Leander Griffith (my great grandfather) m: in California Neumeris D. Humber Ellis (his twin) Rosanna Justine Ellis m: 1- I N Prather, II and 2-George Vaughan William Campbell Ellis m: in California Albert T. Ellis m: Amanda Allen Sarah Jane Ellis m: 1-Ransom Basford and 2- John N. Ferguson (in California) LEANDER T. ELLIS m: 2 - ELIZABETH CARR-CROSS, widow of Asa Cross. Elizabeth brought 3 children to the marriage - John, Sanford and Eva. Leander and Elizabeth had 3 sons: Alexander C., Charles A., and Alvah C. all born in Nodaway Co., MO Any information about LEANDER T.
