Genealogical Society, Maryville, MO. Recognizing the importance of the 1890 special census to those whose ancestors served in the Civil War, the Nodaway County Genealogical Society had published this typescript copy of the federal enumeration of survivors or their widows in the county, taken in 1890. Information included house and family numbers, full names, rank, company, regiment, dates of enlistment and discharge, post office address, and disability incurred (if any). Some entries also included other comments on the soldier or his service and an every-name index had been added. Perhaps you can locate a copy of this booklet. I didn't see it mentioned at this website and I don't know if the information in now on the Internet, but it sounded like it could help fill in some gaps created by the accidental destruction of the 1890 USA Federal Censuses.
