The death certificates begin with the year of 1910. Thomas was deceased before that time, therefore, the only way you can vefrify his birthplace is if you could obtain an obituary. In the library at the University at Maryville old newspapers are on microfilm. I don't know if it is possible for you to get anyone to look up his obituary for you, or not. I have no idea whether a person's birthplace is shown on a marriage certificate or not.The marriages are recorded in a marriage book in the county in which the license was procured, not the county in which a couple may have been married. The recorder of deeds office would have the marriage recorded.I wish I could be of more help to you, but I do not live in the Maryville area any longer. Dennis.

    3. Marriage certificates do not list date of birth. You can also request copies of Maryville papers on Microfilm to your local Mid Continent Library branch. They can do an inter-library loan to get the films where you are. They request them from the Univeristy of Missouri archives which keeps a collection of statewide papers on film there. dvherbster@classicnet.net wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
