Hi, My research time frame is the 1850 - 1870 Is anybody on the list researching a George S. Baker? He was a business man in Nodaway County MO. I need to know if this guy was related in any way to a couple of Baker brothers in Council Grove KS. Council Grove was a major hub on the Santa Fe Trail. The brothers were A. J. Baker and Josh Baker. They had a sister named Eliza Baker who married T. S. Huffaker. Huffaker ran the Methodist Mission to the Kaw Indians at Council Grove Kansas in the 1850's. The Baker brothers were active in the Indian trade near Council Grove in the 1850's. If there is any connection, I'd be glad to share the info I have. It's been awhile since I worked on the Bakers so forgive me if I've asked about this before. Thanks! Karren A.
