Thomas was born in178ofayette co. Penn. Rebecca was born in Maryland. Thomas died around 1858 and his buried near St Marys Mo. Rebecca died around 1863 in Indiana. After Lydia died Chauncy remarried and an additional family. His last name is Scottish. That family had an association with the pottery trade. If this is not enough to get you started let me know because I do have a file on them...If you saw my system of filing you would know why I am going by memory....One of the confusing issues in Heady genealogy is the fact that two different Thomas Headys were born in 1880 in Fayette co., Penn. The one I am writing about was the son O Thomas Jr and Elizabeth Lloyd. The other Thomas was the son O f James brother to Tom Jr. The other Thomas was married to Sussanah Cotton. He was know as Devil Tom. People dared not call him that to his face but he earned it with the followinf action. It seems the local preache! r came to his house and Thomas was four sheets under the weather. He pulled a gun on the preacher and made himdance. Thomas got to laughing so hard that the preacher took the gun away from Tom and made him read from the Bible. That story is one of my favorite Heady Hoots...Tom son was known as Fiddlin' Tom. I would like to know how he got that name. Sometimes the imagionation is better than the reality...If you need more information on the Headys let me know. I come down from Jacob Heady,Lydia's brother. Jacob was a true character not of the most noble caliber. Jim Heady
