Smith, he married Elizabeth Patton in 1860 in Nodaway County. Is he the William B Smith who was a 2nd Lt in the 1st Cav. Company H, under John Patton in the Confederate Army Mo.? Was he the son of William Branham Smith and Elizabeth Childress, and born in Ky in 1838. William Branham Smith and Elizabeth Childress and family are listed in the 1850 census of Letcher County Ky. Among their children is an Emery, aged 10, I am looking for a connection to Nodaway County for them. All help is greatly appreciated.
