Hello List. I was wondering if anyone could please help or advise me concerning a death certificate I have just received. It gives info about an Edward George Bendall, who I think may be my late Grandmothers brother (I am not sure though). The info is as follows - Edward George Bendall - Aged 29- Suicide by drowning. - Found drowned in the Great Western Railway Canal near Bullocks Bridge Llantarnam. on 5/12/1909. It states that he is a Colliery Haulier of Sengenydd. The certificate states that an inquest was held for South Monmouthshire, the registration district is given as Newport, Mon. The sub district is Marwolaeth yn Is-ddosbarth. Is there any records I could research, that would give me more information concerning Edward - i.e where he lived/ was he married etc. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you Lynda Hunt (Cardiff)
