There must be something wrong with my glasses! Why can I only see a variety of Boards of Guardians in the Gwent Archives collection? Where are the land records, the parish registers etc? I feel I'm in another dimension here - help - where have all the records gone, I thought all the records in the County Records Office in Cwmbran were being transferred to new premises in Ebbw Vale ? In addition to my last message you could always look at the Archives Wales website http://www.archiveswales.org.uk/ and search their catalogue for places in Gwent - the old county of Monmouthshire - all of the Gwent archive holdings are listed on there. If you click on the box that says "Browse Indexes by" you can choose place and this brings up an index of ever place name in wales that has a record somewhere.
