I am hoping someone can help me with this family please. Martha (Margaret) Smyth (Smith) was born 1 August 1853 somewhere near Tredegar as she was baptised in the Catholic Church there. Her sister Ann was born about 1858 and possibly a brother Joseph was born about 1856-1857. No place of birth known for these two. Their parents were Thomas Smyth (Smith) and Martha Wall. Thank you Robert for your help. The Marriage details given for Thomas Smyth and Martha Wall are correct. This family just seems to have disappeared although we do know that Ann and Martha (Margaret) came to Australia in 1875 and 1877 and possibly a brother/cousin Joseph also came in 1875. Their records are giving us conflicting information as to their ages and where they were born. Thomas Smyth (their father) was a Publican according to the two girls Death certificates. I will just have to keep digging!
