Hello, I am looking for a William Bryan,b1849 in Llantilio Crossenny, Monmouthshire in the 1861 census, to no avail.I have his sisters (as servants) in the same census , and I have him in later ones, but nothing of him or a possible family in 1861. As I was looking through on Ancestry, I couldn't help but notice that a lot of Bryans came from Ireland,so,my question is,how do I get into the Irish census?Just in case he was there. Thank you, Roy

Roy, as far as I am aware the Irish census records were destroyed when there was an explosion and fire at the government buildings in 1922. Most Irish research has to be done through parish registers most of which are still with the incumbent parish priests. although there are more and more records coming online every day as people realise what a money spinner it can be, ann Macey List Admin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roy Davies" <roy.davies43@ntlworld.com> ,my question is,how do I get into > the Irish census?Just in case he was there.
