    1. [MON] House in Fields Park, Newport

    3. I have been sent a scan of a newspaper ad from 1917 of the sale of a house called Elmswood, Fields Park, Newport. It was then the home of Daniel GUY, pork butcher, retired (my great-grandmother's brother). Can anyone living in that area tell me whether it still exists?. It was detached with five bedrooms, tennis courts, and nearly an acre of land. >From the shadows of the eaves on the photograph with the advert I suspect it may have been on the north side of Fields Park Road, but I may be wrong. I can forward the scan to anyone who thinks they might recognise it (or who wants to take it with them while walking the dog in the area) Jeff
