Did the US companies send representatives to solicit for workers? My Greatgrand father Noah Howell was a Coal miner in LlanSamlet, came to the USA and settled In Martins Ferry, Ohio, as a Coal miner in 1869. My other Greatgrand father Wyndham Davies was a tin sorter in Pontypool, and settled in Martins Ferry, Ohio as a Mill worker in 1873. How did they know where the jobs were in the USA? Wyndham N.
