    2. Hi / ) / _)rad (have I got it right?) Thank you for your response. I was sort of expecting that there would be a negative result, but thanks anyway for looking at the relevant returns, and thanks too for pointing me in the direction of "streetmaps" which I will use in future before sending queries to the list. Usually, http://www.streetmaps.co.uk is good for this sort of thing. Sadly, on this occasion, it's not much use. Roads around that location are, mostly, unnamed on their maps. Looking at the relevant places in the 1881 Wales census shows that Colliery Row runs from pages 5 to 11 in the returns. None of which, I'm sorry to say, is of much help to you. -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" Love is a temple, love is a shrine You Have Placed A Chill In My Heart - Eurythmics ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to MONMOUTHSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

So, if the place was renamed, you might be out of luck. For roads, it's possible to get a "fix" on a non-existent street name by looking at those around it. Assuming they haven't changed too, of course. -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" Bet you thought you knew what I was about Problem - Sex Pistols
